Alex Friend is a film editor with a decade of experience working in documentary. His work has been featured on HBO, Showtime, BET, YouTube Originals, and in film festivals including Tribeca, DOC NYC, and Sundance.

In addition to his editing work, Alex has also served as a guest lecturer at the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema at Brooklyn College. His most recent edit, Fault Lines, a feature documentary on the housing affordability crisis, premiered at the 2025 Big Sky Documentary Film Festival.

Alex is currently based in Brooklyn, NY.
